Mrs. Gilstrap believes very much that we are designed to praise God through song, all of us. She is elated to work in co-creation with our young students, aiding them in the discovery of their innate musical abilities.
Mrs. Gilstrap comes from three years of experience teaching choral music, music theory, and music history at a 6th-12th grade classical school, in addition to nearly ten years teaching private voice and piano lessons. She has degrees in Music and Christian Spiritual Formation from Friends University. She sings in local groups ranging from jazz combos to the Wichita Chamber Chorale; she never tires of vocal performance, especially choral music.
