Katherine Earles
Head of School
About Katherine
She has been a teacher of teachers, a teacher to CSA third graders and Latin students, an administrator and a classical education enthusiast. For all of those reasons, CSA is excited to welcome Katherine Earles back to CSA – this time as the leader of our school.
Mrs. Earles has a Master of Science in Mathematics from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Idaho State University. She currently teaches sixth through eighth grades at Newton Classical Academy in Newton, KS. She has also served as Curriculum Director and new teacher trainer at the Academy. Prior to her time at Newton Classical Academy, Mrs. Earles taught third grade at CSA for two years. Mrs. Earles has also taught math at WSU to elementary education students. Essentially, she taught future teachers how to teach math. For a total of six years, Mrs. Earles has taught at classical schools, receiving higher teacher training in classical education.
“My family loves Christ the Savior Academy, and we are excited to be back,” Mrs. Earles said. “It is a great joy to be part of an institution that strives to recognize and educate the whole child – mind, body and soul. A classical school should be one that looks to shape character, as well as intellect, with Christ-inspired love and compassion. The fact that CSA is also an Orthodox school which partakes in the live of the church – its beauty, music, fasts and feasts – is a very great blessing, which I have already experienced as a teacher.”
