As we turn the page to a new year, we are filled with hopes and dreams for the future of Christ the Savior Academy. January will be particularly busy with the addition of the new admissions and re-enrollment seasons alongside our current spring semester. Consequently, we have decided that it is necessary to streamline our communication to best serve the CSA community.
December saw the launch of our new blog. I certainly hope you are enjoying those articles and I look forward to sharing more of them with you as we incorporate additional writers into the rotation. Our next step is launching the use of a monthly newsletter, like this one for example, at the beginning of each month. And, these will take the place of the weekly memos.
Our teachers will continue sending their weekly communications about the specifics directly related to your student, while each monthly newsletter will include a brief message from Katherine or myself, and will highlight the important events coming up. We will also include this information in greater detail in the Family Portal. This way, you can find the information and reminders you need when you need them.
It is our hope that organizing our communication in this way allows us all to keep up with the hustle and bustle of the school year while eliminating unnecessary noise and confusion in our already busy lives. I welcome your feedback on this initiative as we move through the spring semester.
May 2025 bring you and your family peace and blessings as we partner together to shape classically educated minds and Christ-formed hearts in each and every CSA student.

January 2025 Events at Christ the Savior Academy

WEEK 1
- January 1st: Happy New Year! Wishing you a year filled with new hopes, joys, and beginnings.
WEEK 2
- January 6th: As we return from Christmas break, the Church celebrates the Feast of Theophany. This will not be a school liturgy, though any students attending liturgy with their families will be excused from class.
- January 8th: All students should be in dress uniforms.
- January 9th: DEADLINE! – During the Mondays before Lent, we will be offering Chick-fil-A nuggets as our special lunch option. Then, once Lent begins, we will return to cheese pizza from Pizza Hut. If your child wishes to participate in Monday Lunches, please submit their order form by the end of the day today!
- January 10th: DEADLINE! – Today is the final day to complete the 2025-2026 Re-enrollment Packet and receive a $200 per student discount off of your re-enrollment fee. The online process only takes 15 minutes to complete.
- If you are not intending to re-enroll your child at CSA for next year, please open the Re-enrollment Packet and select “Will Not Enroll”.
- Financial Aid Applications should be completed at this time as well.
WEEK 3
- January 13th: Students who have pre-ordered their Monday Lunch will enjoy fresh Chick-fil-A nuggets today. So, please send your child with veggies, fruit, or other side dishes from home to go with their nuggets.
- January 14th: Please consider attending this month’s Parent-Teacher-Fellowship. It’s important to get everyone’s input to make this school and the events we plan successful! We will meet in the school library.
- January 15th: All students should be in dress uniforms. We will also be hosting our annual PreK & Kindergarten RoundUp this morning (RSVP to attend).
- January 17th: We will celebrate our monthly School Liturgy commemorating St. Anthony the Great. Therefore, all students should be in dress uniforms. Additionally, let Panda Express cook dinner tonight in participation with this month’s PTF Fundraiser.
WEEK 4
- January 20th: NO SCHOOL – We are observing this holiday in memory of the vision to which Martin Luther King, Jr. called us all. Similarly, may we do our part to create peace and unity within our community, state, and country. (CSA Teachers, however, will have In-Service)
- January 22nd: All students should be in dress uniforms.
- January 24th: Families are invited to a Family Game Night hosted by the PTF. So, please bring whatever games and snacks you’d like to the Fellowship Hall. In addition, the Archery team will be selling Bingo cards to support the CSA Robins.
WEEK 5
- January 27th: Students who have pre-ordered their Monday Lunch will enjoy fresh Chick-fil-A nuggets today. So, please send your child with veggies, fruit, or other side dishes from home to go with their nuggets.
- January 28th: CSA Students in grades 3 through 6 will enjoy a field trip today to enjoy the Wichita Symphony Young People’s Concert with conductor Taichi Fukumura, and PROJECT Trio.
- January 29th: All students should be in dress uniforms.
